Having access to research that is current and representative of the Chinese community in Toronto is very useful to us when developing policy recommendations and new programs. CCNCTO depends on partnerships to expand our capacity to engage in research that will benefit our communities. As an organization that is well connected with other groups and individuals across Canada, we also have much to offer our research partners.
This Research Agenda is intended for potential research partners including professors, students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, fellow community organizations and individuals interested in research related to Chinese Canadian communities. We hope this Research Agenda will generate and help guide interest in working with CCNCTO to find the answers to some of these questions and support our efforts to improve our community.
Academics, students, community members and partners and CCNCTO staff came together once in July 2010 and again in June 2011 for two research roundtable events. The Research Agenda is a combination of our findings from the two events.
