About The Artist:

Shirley was born in Tianjin, China but spent a fair bit of her childhood in Newcastle, UK. At the age of 9, she studied Chinese watercolour painting and calligraphy. However, after her short stay at Queens University studying Fine Arts: Creative Expressions, acrylics became her favourite medium and she likes to mix bits of abstract with realism. Residing in Scarborough, she is a proud member of the Toronto Youth Cabinet.
