IMMIGRANT SENIORS INCOME SECURITY CAMPAIGN!
IMMIGRANT SENIORS ADVOCACY NETWORK (ISAN) PRESS CONFERENCE

We want politicians to agree to:
- Eliminating the 10 year waiting
period for immigrant seniors to qualify for OAS
- Working with the Federal and Provincial
Governments to waive the enforcement of sponsorship obligations
through government cost- recovery schemes in situations
of genuine immigration sponsorship breakdown involving
a senior
- Establish a nominal public transit
charge for all seniors in Canada, similar to the $45/year
pass issued to seniors in British Columbia
- Fund more ethno specific affordable
housing for seniors who need or desire it.
Over 10, 000 petitions in multiple
languages have been signed by concerned citizens who desire
these changes. This press conference is organised by the Immigrant
Seniors Advocacy Network (ISAN) a collaboration between
