The Chinese Canadian National Council Toronto Chapter (CCNCTO) is an organization of Chinese Canadians in the City of Toronto that promotes equity, social justice, inclusive civic participation, and respect for diversity.
Art & Food Storytelling Festival (2016)
CCNCTO and ALPHA Education partnered together on a new initiative entitled The Chinese Seniors’ Storytelling Workshop. Using storytelling in the form of art and food, senior participants went through a series of workshops to foster individual expression and provide them with the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with the broader Chinese community.
To mark the conclusion of the series, CCNCTO and ALPHA Education held a final celebration that was called the Art & Food Storytelling Festival.
Live Well, Take Action: Ambassador Program for East Asian Youth (2017)
Live Well, Take Action: Ambassador Program for East Asian Youth aims to enhance the lives of East Asian youth by fostering civic participation and greater awareness in positive well-being.
As a proactive measure, this project utilizes interactive activities and culturally relevant examples and stories to engage East Asian youth in understanding how one’s wellness has a significant impact on self-identity, relationships, and one’s positive contributions to society.
