During outreach our staff and volunteers engage in one-on-one conversations with workers and residents. These conversations allow staff and volunteers to introduce themselves, and CCNCTO, to community members and to better understand the challenges community members face and futures they envision. Additionally, during outreach we provide accessible community information and resources, such as updated public health measures and support programs, and PPE supplies to community members. Our intergenerational outreach teams engage in outreach across various neighbourhoods in the Greater Toronto Area, including York and Peel regions.
By getting to know what challenges community members face and what futures they envision, we can respond to and serve grassroots concerns. Our outreach informs how we design and carry out programs, events, and campaigns that interest Chinese Canadians, including marginalized populations. residing in the Greater Toronto Area.
During the summer our social justice youth leaders led neighbourhood outreach groups 2 to 3 times a week.
